Use this article to learn about how vehicles display on the Map.
Vehicles
Vehicle features allow you to manage all vehicle activity. You can register new vehicles in your account, edit vehicle information, view vehicle locations on the map, view current status, view historical activity, find the closest vehicles, get directions, center the map around a vehicle, follow a vehicle on the map, send an SMS message, create a landmark from a vehicle’s location, and more. You can also create and share vehicle groups and manage access permissions.

Adding a Vehicle
After your device(s) have been installed in your vehicle(s), you must add the vehicle’s information to the portal.
Editing Vehicle Details
The Manage Vehicles page provides a comprehensive view of the information for a specific vehicle and allows you to add and edit additional vehicle information beyond what you entered during the vehicle registration process.
Using Vehicle Groups
Vehicle groups are used to organize the vehicles based on logical separations that make sense to your business. Groups allow you to easily filter reports, maps, and dashlets.
Using Vehicle Icons
When viewing a vehicle’s location on a map, the default icon appears as a pin with a circle.
Using Vehicles on the Map Dashboard
From the Map Dashboard, click the Vehicles menu item to open the Vehicles tab.
Managing Fuel and Emissions Information
The Fuel and Emissions Info page allows you to set Fuel Type and Idle GPH (gallons per hour) for each vehicle in your fleet.
